Focus On Education Enhances Advertising Agency’s Market Advantage

Camp Hill, PA — While many professionals look upon continuing education as time consuming and costly, AdAbility, Inc., a full service advertising agency located in Camp Hill, PA embraces it as a daily part of its existence. The agency believes its unique approach to education makes them truly different in the industry and gives them a distinct advantage in today’s marketplace.

Agency President, Anne J. Aufiero, believes that, “When you encourage people to stretch their minds and reach beyond what they already know or their current abilities, everyone benefits. Different ideas that fuel our creative team translate into innovative approaches, which benefit our clients.”

With the belief that you can learn something from everyone, Aufiero has established regular in-house, mini-seminars called Wednesday Wake-Ups, where guest speakers or members of the agency team present information about everything from advertising legal issues to integrated marketing. In addition, agency personnel are responsible for recapping what they learned at outside seminars to the rest of the agency staff upon their return.

Aufiero shows her commitment to ongoing education and helps set an example for her staff in a number of ways. She teaches marketing classes for Pennsylvania’s state Self Employment Assistance Program (SEA), which helps unemployed people start their own businesses. She also conducts seminars across the state for business groups and organizations, such as the Pennsylvania Association of Non-Profit Organizations (PANO).

For the past 12 years, AdAbility’s enthusiasm for education has also included an internship program which allows the agency to help nurture future advertising professionals. “Every student intern follows a program that exposes them to all areas of the agency,” Aufiero explained. “The internship program is a tremendous amount of work, but many of us benefited in the past from similar programs and we enjoy giving that same opportunity with others.”
